The boarded-up window at the office tells the story. This campground is neglected and poorly managed. When we arrived with reservations before 5 p.m. there was no one to show us where to go. We called, and the absentee owner returned our call promptly. The site he assigned us was occupied and not the pull-through we were promised. We learned the only pull-through sites now have long-term occupants. By talking to others staying here, we got the sense that there is no effort being put into maintaining this business. We will not be returning.
There's nothing fancy here, but it's an easy and convenient stop along I-10. Owners are courteous and accommodating. Road noise wasn't a problem. Wi-Fi worked well. Access to and from sites was good. We will stop here again.
This park is away from the bustle and honky tonks but convenient to the beach, shopping, St. Andrew's State Park and other services. The owners are friendly, courteous, and helpful. There is a nice screened-in pool. The bath houses and laundry are clean and neat. The Wi-Fi has worked well at all times. Some sites are narrow, but there are others that are more than adequate, including some along the ponds. The pine trees do drop some needles and cones, but the cement slab is easy to keep clean. We will go back.
Owners seemed very disorganized and didn't keep track of who occupied what site. The cable was extremely fuzzy. We had a nice view next to a lake, and the Wi-Fi worked well. We had lots of space since the electric hookups in the two sites next to us weren't working. We would avoid staying here again.
